Wikipedia's principle of maintaining a neutral point of view requires that editors with conflicts of interest (COIs) avoid disruptive editing. However, editors with COIs are among the most passionate about the subjects in question, and their contributions can still be valuable. When I edit an article whose subject I have a COI with, I usually attempt to stick to non-substantial changes (e.g. adding images, improving formatting, correcting grammar).
To maintain the integrity of Wikipedia and ensure I am editing ethically, I will disclose all relevant conflicts of interest to the best of my ability.[note 1]
I have to remind some people of some policies and guidelines all the time. So I'm starting a collection of them right here on my user page! I also cite some essays that seem like common sense to me, so I'm including some here. Also, if I'm ever a hypocrite by breaking the principles in these pages, please point it out!
