Technical inaccuracies

The section of the article which deals with console ports needs a major rewrite. Among the inaccuracies, the claim that the Saturn's architecture is "essentially the same" as the very different Model 1 hardware is the most jarring (a quick comparison shows very little similarity between the two machines). 155.245.96.12 14:12, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Although it is not meant to be an exhaustive compilation of every fighting game, let alone every variation on a fighting game, we'd appreciate some comments at talk:fighting game to tell us if there are any huge errors or omissions. Instead of "Characters introduced in Virtua Fighter By Title", how about copying the design from Street_Fighter#Characters? Proposed merge with List of Virtua Fighter characters

Especially for the sources listed (none), List of Virtua Fighter characters is adequately summarized as currently merged in the character section at Virtua_Fighter#Characters. If there any significant coverage about the cast of characters or other need to keep it as it's own article?   • Oppose: It was fine as its own article before you tried to merge it. Just because its currently lacking in sources, doesn't mean they don't exist, per WP: BEFORE. Virtua Fighter is a popular video game franchise, so there's bound to be some coverage of its characters, especially ones like Akira Yuki, Pai Chan and Jacky Bryant. Virtua Fighter Characters

Hello! Has anyone thought of adding pages for all characters from the 3D fighting game Virtua Fighter (aside from Sarah Bryant since she already has one), or perhaps adding a template for them? JRex1995 (talk) 23:14, 12 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I was working in a Akira Yuki article. I completely rewrote the creation and reception sections from the original merged article with more notorious articles about his personality, designs, gameplay and other appearances. I tried revising Akira's draft but I don't know exactly what more sigcov Akira needs. I made sure it at least have three books that discuss martial artists in gaming and some focused on other cultural impacts like Itagaki's influence, apparent response from Tekken, the official video from Virtua Fighter, an article focused on the upcoming game and design, etc. Notability is demanding so we anybody interested feel free to edit it Akira's draft.Tintor2 (talk) 18:22, 13 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]

KungfuMan and Cukie helped me fixing some sources and see if there are at least sigcov sources focused on the character just like they did when they helped me write Leona Heidern.
