i don't understand

the article states 'In the case of the Strawberries and Cream tree, the rootstock grew along with the tree, creating a graft hybrid.' i don't know what that means, and a wikipedia search for 'graft hybrid' yields 'graft-chimaera', defined as an individual with a mix of cells from both parents, and that to use the term 'graft hybrid' to describe this is 'frowned upon'. in the strawberries and cream tree is it simply a matter of both the rootstock and the graft coexisting and producing flowers next to each other, two individuals on the same trunk, and hence neither a chimaera nor a hybrid? I don’t claim to be a horticulturalist, however at least two of the sources, as well as the sign next to the tree itself, specifically refer to it as a ‘graft hybrid’. I just cited what the sources say! Mojo0306 (talk) 08:33, 23 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
