Talk:Social media use by Donald Trump

Biased news

[edit]

Why can you say “where he posted mostly misinformation”. I’m not saying everything he said is true but that’s very one sided. 75.110.220.143 (talk) 02:53, 12 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Well truth is a defense here. It's not a matter of one "not saying everything he said is true", it is a matter of most (over half) of information he posted (as opposed to his opinions) is not true. That is an objective fact. That is why all our sources are like "false claim that the 2020 election was rigged". It's not a matter of expressing an opinion, its just stating a fact. Most of the time things like "such-and-so claim was flat-out false, that's just a fact, and we can state that in our own voice" is a sketchy statment. But not here. no pictures of Trump at the VA

[edit]

President Trump please answer why there are NO pictures of you PRESIDENT of the united states at the Veterans Administration in Florida Thank you Ron 35.136.180.21 (talk) 20:11, 14 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

In my capacity as an official spokesman for President Donald Trump, let me say that the Wikipedia is not the ideal place to contact the President. Better venues for getting a straight answer from the President might be the White House Press Office, an Oija board, a Magic 8 Ball, tasseography, or just standing on a subway platform and shouting questions into the void. Positive Actions

[edit]

It appears there is nothing positive about this president on Wikipedia. The article only mentions negative or neutral content. The Wikipedia bias is clear.

Wikipedia has lost its reputation for giving objective facts. It is no longer considered a viable source of knowledge. Almost all educational institutions advise not to use Wikipedia due to misleading information.

Will anyone try to restore Wikipedia's credibility? 2600:1700:4BD2:3DE0:3646:3900:CA87:3DA (talk) 19:50, 27 April 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Make an account, make some edits until you can bypass semi-protection, and then work to "restore Wikipedia's credibility" yourself. That is what Wikipedia encourages its users to do.
Just because there is information you do not like does not mean it is bias. Positive coverage is not a requirement for a neutral article. There is no obligation to "balance the scale". But if you feel there is something missing, feel free to add some info-- that is, if it is sourced credibly and relevant to mention in this article.

Social media about Trump

[edit]

I followed Donald Trump on social media here expecting a discussion of what social media say about him, but this article is not it. -- Error (talk) 11:51, 14 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Lead image

[edit]

This is most definitely not the best image to depict Trump on social media. First, we could just use Template:Tweet to depict any of his thousands of Tweets for a lead depiction. If an image is required, the graph of his Tweeting or of his suspended account. Second, it feels like Mr. arn21589 uploaded this to push his own Twitter account, which includes his beliefs. I don't see a need for its inclusion over other options. Roast (talk) 03:17, 14 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
