400 Million Blue Diamond Button

[edit]

Mr. Beast recently got a “blue crystal” or “Blue Diamond” play button for 400 million subscribers, being the first person to do so. Can someone add it in his infobox?

@GucciNuzayer  Not done Infoboxes don't support play buttons past the Red Diamond Creator Award (100,000,000). Strugglehouse (talk) 21:46, 30 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Strugglehouse sounds like the infobox needs updating instead then. Will have this done soon. – robertsky (talk) 21:54, 30 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Robertsky Update 31 July: Agreed. It's worth updating, as both Donaldson and T-Series currently have a 200 million creator award, so others are likely to receive them when they reach that milestone. Original comment: This may work, but is it worth updating the infobox just for one person? Creator awards above the 100 million play button are custom-made, Donaldson is the only person with them. Strugglehouse (talk) 21:58, 30 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sooner or later more channels will cross 400m mark. So some day we need to make changes to infobox. So better do it now? 2400:ADC1:411:6A00:647C:63C0:21DB:3FB6 (talk) 12:44, 31 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@2400:ADC1:411:6A00:647C:63C0:21DB:3FB6 After additional research, I now fully agree. I had forgotten that T-Series also received a 200 million creator award, so I indeed agree that it's worth adding these to the infobox, as it's likely that all channels that hit these milestones will also receive these awards. Strugglehouse (talk) 13:17, 31 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Not only Donaldson, T-series has a custom one. It seems that YT-ers are given or commissioned custom made ones if they reached a milestone. But looking at this video, there are also the regular play buttons for the 200- and 300- milestones. – robertsky (talk) 14:18, 31 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Robertsky Yes, indeed, I had realised that T-Series also has a 200 million play button. I replied again but was supposed to update my original comment too. Thanks. Strugglehouse (talk) 14:30, 31 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Done. I am updating the documentations as well, but if someone can kindly provide the year and ref these are the extra codes for the 200-, 300-, and 400- milestones.

| blue_diamond_year = {{{blue_diamond_year}}} – robertsky (talk) 14:46, 31 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Robertsky Thanks! The only thing with this is the names of the parameters. Amber Play Button, Malachite Play Button, etc. are not official names. I suggest these are updated to 100_million_button, 200_million_button, etc. Strugglehouse (talk) 14:53, 31 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
make sense for the 200 mil onwards buttons. the 100 mil is officially red diamond. https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/7682560#zippy=%2Celigibility-criteria%2Credeem-a-youtube-creator-award%2Cshipping-and-delivery – robertsky (talk) 15:07, 31 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, sorry. I made an error there. Red diamond is fine, the rest should be 200_million_button, 300_million_button, etc. Strugglehouse (talk) 15:10, 31 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

50 Million Custom Creator Award

[edit]

YouTube never awarded MrBeast a creator award for reaching 50 million subscribers. The custom creator award is handed out at YouTube's discretion to only a select few channels for reaching 20 or 50 million subscribers and MrBeast wasn't one of them. The next award he received from YouTube after 10 million subscribers was for reaching 100 million subscribers. Fans gifted him an unofficial award for achieving that milestone, but YouTube didn't so a "creator award" from YouTube should not be listed for 50 million subscribers under the creator awards box in the article. 156.204.86.254 (talk) 04:14, 18 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
