Proposed merge of Kumush into Modoc people#Culture
[edit]The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
Given the length of this article and the fact that the Modoc people article discusses religion, it may be worthwhile to merge these articles unless notability can be established for Kumush. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 02:07, 27 January 2025 (UTC)
- I think you'll find God is notable. If you want to merge this, why not merge God into Judaism or Christianity and Allah into Islam while you are at it? JamesKnight7 (talk) 03:30, 27 January 2025 (UTC)
- Support, although a "Religion" or "Cosmology" section within the Modoc people article might make more sense. Regarding idea that Kumush should redirect to other religious articles, Kumush is not part of an Abramahic faith; Modoc religion is not monotheistic; and Modoc historical religion does not proselytize or accept converts from other cultures. Modoc religion is Modoc people. Yuchitown (talk) 17:11, 28 January 2025 (UTC)
- Oppose Anyone can have any Faith and Yuchitown's suggestion flies in direct opposition to the the First Amendment to the United States Constitution protecting freedom of religion. JamesKnight7 (talk) 23:38, 28 January 2025 (UTC)
- Support merge for short text, context and overlap. Such a merge is not a reflection on the notability of Kumush. Klbrain (talk) 21:50, 21 June 2025 (UTC)
