[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Metropolitan Area of Bogotá. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20110725083453/http://www.wgsr.uw.edu.pl/pub/uploads/actas05/05-Oscar.pdf to http://www.wgsr.uw.edu.pl/pub/uploads/actas05/05-Oscar.pdf
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

Metropolitan Area of Bogotá → Bogotá metropolitan area – To use more conventional phrasing and WP:SENTENCECASE, as generally used in articles about metropolitan areas. See also the recent eight-article RM discussion at Talk:Algeciras Bay metropolitan area#Requested move 25 September 2025. — BarrelProof (talk) 15:52, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
- Support per nom. Although Wikipedia:Naming conventions (geographic names) § Metropolitan areas is strictly speaking for metropolitan areas in the United States, this seems to be the naming convention for ones in other countries, too. Also in Colombia are Metropolitan Area of Cúcuta and Metropolitan area of Barranquilla which should similarly be moved in this direction – perhaps even added to this nomination. Then there are Metropolitan area of Puebla in Mexico and Metropolitan Area of San Salvador in El Salvador, and I believe that's it. Ham II (talk) 15:17, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
- Ah, also The Metropolitan Area of the Aburrá Valley, in Colombia. Ham II (talk) 17:14, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
- There's also Metropolitan Area of Cúcuta in Colombia. Those two have some different issues, so I thought I would start with Bogotá. It seems the simplest. But since you brought it up, there are currently about 500 "metropolitan area" articles on the English Wikipedia and only about 12 "Metropolitan Area" articles (not counting the ~20 in which "Metropolitan Area" is part of the proper name of an institution such as Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments or the name of a project such as Metropolitan Area Projects Plan 3 or the name of a transit system such as Metropolitan Area Commuter System), and I currently have three open RMs suggesting to reduce the number further. — BarrelProof (talk) 17:41, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
