This article is important, since Hong Beom-do was a leading figure in the Korean nationalist, anti colonialist and anarchist resistance movements. But -- it full of grammatical errors that render it unreadable.

That's a shame for such an important figure in Korean history.

It was proposed in this section that Hong Beom-do be renamed and moved to Hong PŏmdoHong Pŏmdo. result: No consensus seen below in this limited survey after 3 weeks to either keep the current title or to rename this article. As is usual with a no-consensus outcome, editors can strengthen their arguments, discover new ones, and try again in a few months to garner consensus for a title change. Hong Beom-do → Hong PŏmdoHong Pŏmdo – MR per WP:KOREANNAME.

No results for any variations of any spellings in ngrams. Note that if you search Google and Google scholar, you should exclude academic papers from South Korea that are primarily written in the Korean language. See WP:KO/RS#Scholarly literature; these papers have English translated titles and summaries that are often really poorly written, by non-native English speakers.

Weak oppose - the majority of recent news coverage on him appears to prefer Hong Beom-do.[1][2][3][4]

While academic sources may prefer the MR, I think the RR rendering may be a lot more recognizable to the modern-day English audience than the former. -- 00101984hjw (talk) 23:11, 15 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]
