George Handle and the “See Also” section

[edit]

In See Also, there is no mention of his famous oratorio, Messiah (part i, ii, or iii). Since it is pretty famous, can anyone put it in the section? 2407:7000:8E29:5600:0:0:0:1004 (talk) 01:04, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Handel's Messiah is mentioned in the lead and another 18 times in the article. Which article did you read? -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 02:42, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

George Handle Prussia-Britain/German-Britain Conflict

[edit]

If he is from Prussia, which is in Germany, then why say Prussia? Yes, Prussians have a name which IS called Prussians but what is the point and difference if he still is German? If he is Baltic-Prussian or Old Prussian, then why not say German? It makes more sense. 2407:7000:8E29:5600:0:0:0:1004 (talk) 01:20, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

a) see above at #German?; b) the article calls him "German-British", never "Prussian". Which article did you read? -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 02:42, 18 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Handel was from Saxony-Anhalt, not Brandenburg-Prussia. He was a Saxon (il caro sassone as the Italians dubbed him) not a Prussian. 2A02:C7C:4A91:AF00:DC52:3D26:1786:DADD (talk) 11:22, 29 June 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I was reading this article but I think the dates are not correct. Handel was born and married and Anna died. Anna died before Handel was born? Thank you.

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Anna was the first wife of Georg Händel, father of George Frideric Handel. George Frideric was born to Georg's second wife. I hope that clears up your confusion (I agree that the article is a bit confusing). Day Creature (talk) 21:58, 10 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
