I will review this article to fulfil the pledge I made for Talk:Subspace Rhapsody/GA1. I will try to get to it in the next few days. - adamstom97 (talk) 14:07, 17 July 2025 (UTC)
I'm afraid I have to fail this review, as the article is just too far away from achieving criteria 3: it addresses the main aspects of the topic and it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail
. Going section-by-section (ignoring the lead and plot summary, which don't count):
- "Production and development": This is a development history of the season, not this episode in particular. The only sentences that are actually about this episode are
"Flight of the Phoenix" was directed by series creator Mitchell Hurwitz and executive producer Troy Miller, and written by Hurwitz.
and"Flight of the Phoenix" was the first episode of the season to be filmed, and the first of two focusing on Michael.
I have checked the citations for these sentences and none of them seem to support either claim, so the only production information for this episode is apparently unsourced. The level of information you have about the season's development should be covered at Arrested Development season 4. I suggest moving over anything to that article which it currently does not already have. It is okay to summarise key details about the season's production to provide context for this episode, but you shouldn't be retelling the season's whole production history for each episode article. - "Season 4 re-edit": Same as above, this is all season information not episode information.
- "Critical reception": This section is actually about the episode, which is great, but it really is the bare minimum. I would be asking for this to be expanded if I was going ahead with the review.
- "Re-edit controversy": Same as above, this is all season information not episode information.
- "Accolades": Some of these accolades are not for this episode specifically and should not be listed here.
Honestly, I think it is borderline whether this article should even exist. It is barely meeting the notability guidelines for episode articles set out at WP:NTVEP. To prove that it should be kept, you will need to: remove most of the season information and keep just the high-level summary details that are required for context; expand the production section with sourced details about the production of this episode, specifically; and expand the reception section with details about the reception to this episode, specifically. I hope you are able to do that and re-nominate the article for GA in the future. If you are unable to do these steps, maybe because there are limited sources for this episode, then it may be best to redirect the article to Arrested Development season 4 and focus on getting that one to GA instead.
