Multiple sclerosis

It is mentioned at the end of the second paragraph of the lead "In 2022, a large study (population of 10 million over 20 years) suggested EBV as the leading cause of multiple sclerosis, with a recent EBV infection causing a 32-fold increase in the risk of developing multiple sclerosis." Infects more than B cells

This page says that EBV infects B cells, and that's it. There is no mention that EBV infects B cells, T cells, NK cells, and histiocytic-dendritic cells. I got the information from the wiki page on lymphoma, but this paper [1]also mentions T and NK cells. Should we write a whole section on these other cells, and correspondingly, their route of infection, transformation, etc? 94.21.211.18 (talk) 18:07, 16 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

In 'Tropism' section it actually says that the virus infects B-cells, epithelial cells and other cells. The phrase in the lead is only about permanent infection. Ruslik_Zero 20:30, 16 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]
