Merging with Computer-Based Assessment
[edit]The two articles are completely redundant, probably started by different researchers with the term they prefer. I propose taking text from the CBA article and merging it here, then replacing the old one with a redirect. Iulus Ascanius (talk) 20:19, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

e-Assessment, Online Assessment, and Computer-Based Assessment
[edit]All are synonym to a wide extent. Thus all should be merged and the synonms should be forwarded. I agree with the above suggestion and like to add "Online Assessment" (also used in ther German Wikipedia) to the redirects. Warbe (talk) 18:28, 17 June 2010 (UTC)
- I agree to both suggestions. A multitude of articles on the same issue is just confusing and redundant. --Diggindeeper (talk) 12:40, 10 April 2013 (UTC)

Issues with edit
[edit]User:Ryleedellabosca I have explained what is wrong with your edit several times, but each time you have repeated the same issues. Please read the messages I left on your talk page and in my edit notes. If you don't understand, please ask. Thanks. Jytdog (talk) 09:21, 17 May 2016 (UTC)
Renewed merger proposals
[edit]Online assessment and Electronic marking both sit in the same concept space as this article. There have been intermittent postings in favor of merging online assessment and e-assessment since 2010 (see above). I am in favor of bringing all three of these these articles together in one place. None of them are individually satisfactory but as a merged article there will be an adequate amount of referencing and content. I favor consolidating to this article, and renaming this article as Electronic assessment. I have renamed this article, and on the basis on the above comments will proceed with the merger unless there is dissenting policy-based input. FeatherPluma (talk) 05:37, 18 May 2016 (UTC)
- I say go for it. Jytdog (talk) 05:52, 18 May 2016 (UTC)

Proposal to replace Template:Educational research with the Template:Education
[edit]The Template:Educational research box should be removed from this article for the reasons discussed here: Template talk:Educational research#Proposal to replace this with the Template:Education. Sda030 (talk) 15:46, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
Proposal: Add mention of Synap as an e-assessment example
[edit]Hello editors,
I would like to propose a small, neutral addition to the “Application” section of this article to include a verifiable example of a UK-based e-assessment platform used in higher education.
Proposed text:
> “For example, the UK-based online assessment and learning platform Synap was adopted exclusively by the University of Law in December 2019 to support students preparing for the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE 1).”[1][2]
Rationale: This addition would provide a concrete example illustrating how digital assessment platforms are used by universities and professional training providers, aligning with the article’s existing discussion of e-assessment applications. The statement is factual, neutral, and supported by two independent sources.
Disclosure: I work with Synap, the company mentioned above. I am therefore suggesting this addition here on the Talk page rather than editing the article directly, to comply with Wikipedia’s conflict of interest and reliable sourcing guidelines.
Thank you for considering this proposal. 80.3.183.153 (talk) 10:32, 22 October 2025 (UTC) 80.3.183.153 (talk) 10:32, 22 October 2025 (UTC)
- No thank you - this appears to be primarily promotional. ElKevbo (talk) 02:15, 23 October 2025 (UTC)
