Infobox and lead
[edit]- Drum solo should not be listed under genres in the infobox since that is not a genre itself, just a section of the song
- 100% of "Didacts and Narpets" is a drum solo. User:HumanxAnthro (BanjoxKazooie) 13:02, 5 April 2025 (UTC)
- My point still stands though; this is not a genre in itself. K. Peake 19:38, 5 April 2025 (UTC)
- Alright, removed then. User:HumanxAnthro (BanjoxKazooie) 19:32, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- "final track on" → "final track on their third studio album,"
- "by drummer Neil Peart and" → "by drummer Neil Peart, and"
- "most bizarre recording." → "their most bizarre recording."
- "frequently highlight "Didacts and Narpets"," → "frequently highlighted "Didacts and Narpets","
- "covered it for a" → "covered the song for a"
Background and composition
[edit]- ""No One at the Bridge" and" → ""No One at the Bridge", and"
- Are you sure there shouldn't be a comma after Geddy Lee per American English?
- Rush are a Canadian band. User:HumanxAnthro (BanjoxKazooie) 19:23, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- "aggressive and "thunderous"" → "aggressive, and "thunderous""
- I would suggest starting a new sentence as "The piece is punctuated by dramatic" to avoid a run-on and if this is done, re-invoke the ref that uses the thunderous quote at the end of its sentence per direct quoting
- Link distorted to Distortion (music)
- "its guitar and vocals" → "He commented that its guitar and vocals"
Reception and legacy
[edit]- First para looks good!
- "bizarre recorded sequence."" → "bizarre recorded sequence"." per MOS:QUOTE
- Oh yeah, that is a partial quote. Good catch! User:HumanxAnthro (BanjoxKazooie) 19:41, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- The art rock review mention is fine to keep, but shouldn't this genre be added to composition too so it is sourced as a genre itself?
- I see what you're saying, but since a lot of composition sections are sourced to the same reviews that are cited for Reception sections, there is a lot of overlap between them. Having the genre description sourced and established anywhere would seem to suffice, plus it was to avoid redundancy. User:HumanxAnthro (BanjoxKazooie) 19:41, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- Fourth para looks good!
- Add any further info to establish notability of the cover version per WP:SONGCOVER
- What's wrong with the Bloody Knuckles source? User:HumanxAnthro (BanjoxKazooie) 19:35, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
- Also, these rules apply if a lot more than one artist covered the song, and the Mike Mangini one is the only recorded cover by a notable artist that exists for "Didacts and Narpets" "When a song has been recorded or performed by more than one artist,". User:HumanxAnthro (BanjoxKazooie) 19:45, 7 April 2025 (UTC)
Personnel
[edit]- Good
Notes
[edit]- ""Across the Styx" and "7/4 War Furor"," → ""Across the Styx", and "7/4 War Furor","
References
[edit]- Copyvio score looks superb at 3.8%!!!!
- Wikilink Voyageur Press on ref 11
- MOS:CAPS issues with ref 20 or is that how RUSH is stylized?
- Yes, that is how the band's name is stylized.
