Sources for expanding

I saw this new article listed at WT:VG and saw it was lacking in content; while there is content here, it's mainly all primary and in-unsiverse content. Here's some additional sources to create a development

Suggestion: shortening article text?

I'm not sure if it's okay to (with collaborative help) drastically modify a page like this. I wouldn't want an article on a story-heavy gacha game have copious amounts of text describing it and its stories. Plus, I could rewrite things to also bring up voice actors for the English dub. Like: character (voice actor)

I also think some sections need to be tweaked:
  • Gameplay - try to sum up the game in a shorter way
  • Features - remove unnecessary subsections.
  • Development - feels like a changelog, fix formatting.

Article for characters?

I know it's suggested to expand the Voice cast section of the page, but there are 129 cookies (and more being added), so it might be hard to do so. Should we make an article dedicated to the characters/cookies and link it (e.g. "Main article: List of Cookie Run characters") instead? LaonaGrouchini (talk) 06:05, 16 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Character lists should meet Wikipedia:Notability#Stand-alone lists, which requires coverage as a group in independent reliable sources. The list should ideally explain each cookie's placement on the story and/or the overall reception to their designs, as outlined by such sources, if they exist. But the lists I could gather from gaming websites (e.g. [1] [2]) are plain, without much analysis. They are mostly either just tables sorting them by rarity/type/position without much elaboration on each (pretty much already covered on Fandom), or recommendations on which cookies would be fit for PvE/PvP. This is mostly game guide material intended for fans, which is not really fit for an encyclopedia. The only source with potential for providing notability I found would be this Indonesian-language journal article, but I imagine that wouldn't be enough. Multiple analytical sources would be required for the purposes of neutrality. I have also not found sources covering the characters of the Cookie Run series in general either. Maybe there could be Korean-language sources that could help, but I didn't find much character coverage on WP:KO/RS's programmable search engine. ObserveOwl (talk) 21:21, 1 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
