Please organize the "Religion" portion in descending order (based on the percentages), as right now "no religion" is below lower percentages.

Please fix the organization of the "Ethnic groups" portion, as right now "Pardo" is above "White" even though it has a lower percentage. 187.106.36.229 (talk) 02:42, 7 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Partly done: for religion, to match the pie chart. Left Pardo unchanged since it does have a higher percentage (45.3 vs 43.5)

Language name

[edit]

I think it was already discussed here, but the official language name label should be simply "Portuguese", with a link to "Brazilian Portuguese" to clarify; the Brazilian Constitution states in its Chapter III, Article 13.: "The Portuguese language is the official language of the Federative Republic of Brazil. In the archives, I found Talk:Brazil/Archive 16#Dialect vs Language. There was not much of a discussion, only one editor contributing. He came out in favor of using the "official" language, i.e. saying Portuguese and linking to Portuguese language. I think that this article has been doing that for several years. Agreed, the constitution and any laws relating to language only mention "Portuguese", not "Brazilian Portuguese". Obviously that can be the target, but the label should be Portuguese alone. Cristiano Tomás (talk) 17:30, 4 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate.

I am confused by what you mean. Slomo666 (talk) 22:54, 25 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

A Situação do COP30 e a nova capital

[edit]

O Presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva promulgou uma lei que muda a capital da República Federativa do Brasil para Belém, Pará, conforme fonte abaixo,

There are way too many images on the right side, which creates a huge blank space between Urbanization and Race and Ethnicity sections. Thence, I suggest moving the Rock art at Serra da Capivara National Park image to the left, on the Pre-Cabraline era section, the painting of Emperor Pedro II to the Independent Empire section (it is currently in the early republic), remove entirely the photos of Presidents Lula and Trump and that of the 17th BRICS summit logo, as it doesn't fit anything really on the article. Other than that, I'd remove one of the geography images (there's simply too many images) and the construction of Brasilia photo (which, from all the historic images, is the less relevant ). If not removing, some of those images should be passed to the left side of the article. Is it possible that this is your browser? Because I see a large table at the bottom of the Urbanisation section. Slomo666 (talk) 17:28, 13 November 2025 (UTC)[reply]
