I'll be taking this one, although it might take a day or two. Hope you don't mind. ✦ Saltymagnolia ✦ 09:31, 3 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

  • A note explaining the reason for the "reproach" would be worth including.
please help, - it's in the title "Until now you have asked for nothing in My name", - I told you to ask in my name , but until now you have asked for nothing in My name. The source doesn't offer more. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:30, 4 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@Gerda Arendt I slightly modified this sentence to reflect adherence to the material found in the original text, as described by Hofmann. ✦ Saltymagnolia ✦ 01:03, 5 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • Hans-Joachim Schulze describes her poetry as wordy and "rather unskillful", and notes that Bach set a revised text. → Schulze notes Bach's streamlining of von Ziegler's original text.
taken, also removed duplication of that sentence --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:27, 4 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • [...] paraphrase another Gospel verse. – Which Gospel verse is it paraphrased from?
25, but that's original research, comparing the Gospel text and the cantata text, - it actually makes no difference, and readers interested will arrive at the same --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:42, 4 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
    Fair enough. I tweaked this sentence a little to improve flow. ✦ Saltymagnolia ✦ 01:08, 5 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
  • The poet used as the closing chorale the ninth stanza of Heinrich Müller's hymn "Selig ist die Seele" (1659). → The ninth stanza of Heinrich Müller's hymn "Selig ist die Seele" (1659) is used as the closing chorale.

I have modified some aspects of the article too minor to list here. Overall, it looks good.

Thank you for the review and the editing! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:27, 4 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It looks good to go from my end, unless you have anything further to add. ✦ Saltymagnolia ✦ 01:09, 5 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the help, looks fine to me. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:06, 5 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

The article is excellently cited, using reliable sources. Earwig's does show a 56.9% possibility of copyvio with the Schulze source, however, this is primarily a result of quotes, or unavoidable parallels between the source and the article, e.g. the title, and its English translation.

Conclusion

That's a pass from me. ✦ Saltymagnolia ✦ 09:16, 5 August 2025 (UTC)[reply]
