Deletion
[edit]I don't really care what happens to it, I just thought an article on Hobnox could be somewhat useful. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Irish Techno Zombie (talk • contribs) 16:03, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
Citations #1 & 2
[edit]Citations #1 and 2 are rather clunky. Anyone wanna remove them? Potasmic (talk) 20:30, 26 August 2015 (UTC)

Expansion
[edit]Audiotool has grown large enough to have its Wikipedia rewritten. Some issues we need to address:
- Remove Category:German websites? (Its scale is now broader than Germany)
- Must use the Website infobox since "Audiotool" is not a company.
- A History session.
- Timeline of Audiotool versions and future version codename, notes, etc.

Clarifying founding credits – COI request from Audiotool
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hi editors,
I'm writing on behalf of Audiotool Inc., the owner and operator of the Audiotool platform. I disclose a conflict of interest and will not edit the article directly.
We would like to request the removal of the “Created by: André Michelle” field currently present in the article's infobox. This was added in [this March 2024 edit](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Audiotool&diff=1296206024&oldid=1215463236) by a user with a conflict of interest, and was flagged accordingly. The infobox uses Template:Infobox website, and “author” or “created by” fields should not give undue weight to a single individual unless supported by reliable, independent sources.
Audiotool’s development was a team effort , and no verifiable, independent secondary sources support attributing sole authorship or invention to a single person. We believe the current infobox claim violates WP:UNDUE and WP:V, and request that it be removed.
No independent, secondary source was provided to support this claim, and none appears to be cited in the article.
➤ Per WP:V, all material—especially in the lead or infobox—must be verifiable and based on reliable sources.
On 23 March 2024, user Andre Michelle added the line "Created by André Michelle" to the infobox without providing an independent source. This edit was automatically flagged as a possible conflict of interest but lost attention.
We do not want to downplay his role. In fact, André Michelle himself describes the project as a collaborative effort in [this interview](https://www.youtube.com/watch?si=pQsV-eKPZBsYhVhV&t=70&v=LXTR1IBMf-8&feature=youtu.be), where he credits seven team members across development and design.
Additionally, [this 2008 article](https://kress.de/news/beitrag/88706-hobnox-wenn-das-quot-myspace-quot-prinzip-erw%E2%80%A6en-kunden-im-mediengesch-ft-beraten-dass-es-anders-gekommen.html) about Hobnox (Audiotool's origin) discusses the founding team and does not mention André Michelle — he joined later as a developer, not as the sole or primary creator.
Please let us know if any further sources or clarifications are needed. We appreciate your time and thank you for helping maintain the neutrality of this article.

- This article has him listed as your Chief Technology Officer - and that YouTube article (notwithstanding Wikipedia's policy on primary sources) describes him as the "mastermind behind the Audiotool." If not him, who founded the company? I'd be more than happy to replace it, but I'd like to replace it with accurate information. Meepmeepyeet (talk) 02:00, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
Done I've removed it per WP:V for now but agree that a replacement would be ideal. Encoded Talk 💬 12:03, 10 September 2025 (UTC)
