How can i get promoted to an auto-confirmed user? --B.Harbers (talk) 13:56, 23 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @B.Harbers, this is an automatic process that will happen when your account is both 4 days old and has had made at least 10 edits. More info here: Autoconfirmed users. Hope this helps, Encoded Talk đŹ 10:08, 27 April 2025 (UTC)
Question from Minatokiji (15:49, 25 April 2025)
[edit]Hey bro, it's nice to meet you. I've been trying to attach Pomme as a hyperlink thing on an article talking about the sampling disputes on Kanye's music and I can't figure out how to add her without it saying, "this title relates to more than one page" or saying, "(singer)" on the actual published versions. This is what I've been putting in the editing and it doesn't preview what I want it to preview. Sometimes I'm reading other articles and it says things like, "on their debut record" and "debut record" is a hyperlink to the record mentioned. Try to reach back and thank you! --Minatokiji (talk) 15:49, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
- Nevermind, found it. Minatokiji (talk) 16:13, 25 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hi @Minatokiji, apologies for taking a while to get back to you - glad you were able to find it! If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask! Thanks, Encoded Talk đŹ 10:09, 27 April 2025 (UTC)
Question from SreyebTruk (18:54, 5 May 2025)
[edit]Hello, Encoded. Thanks for the welcome. My question is on conflict of interest. I submitted a draft of a new article for review, and on the talk page of the draft and in the section where I noted editing changes, I pointed out that I am being paid an hourly rate to prepare this particular article for submission to Wikipedia. Another editor immediately responded with a warning about conflict of interest. I replied to that editor with another detailed explanation of what I had done and why. My question is on the official Conflict of Interest form. I did not file that because it seemed to me that filing it says that someone is employing me to be on Wikipedia, which is not the case. I am a freelance writer and editor, and the musical group that is the subject of my submission paid me an hourly rate to learn Wikipedia's requirements, prepare the material according to those requirements, hunt up the appropriate references, and submit it. Do I need to fill out the COI form and submit it? And does it brand me as someone's paid employee? Thanks for any help. --SreyebTruk (talk) 18:54, 5 May 2025 (UTC)
