Submission declined on 12 March 2025 by KylieTastic (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines for sports persons and athletes). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Wyatt Meyer (born November 1, 2001) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender and midfielder for Major League Soccer club Nashville SC.
College career
[edit]Meyer played youth soccer for the ACC Mavericks alongside fellow 2024 draftee Kalani Kossa-Rienzi, before committing to his hometown university to play for the California Golden Bears.
In 2020, Meyer began playing college soccer for the California Golden Bears. In his junior season in 2023, Meyer was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year and earned All-Pac-12 First Team honors.[1] Nashville SC drafted Meyer in the first round (11th overall) of the 2024 MLS SuperDraft on December 19, 2023.[2] However, Meyer opted to return to college for a fifth season of collegiate soccer, but Nashville SC retained his MLS rights.[3]
Club career
[edit]Meyer played four games with USL League Two club Project 51O, the reserve affiliate of USL Championship club Oakland Roots, in the 2023 season.[4]
After participating in pre-season with the first team of Nashville SC ahead of the 2025 season, he signed a first team contract on February 21.[5][6] The following day, Meyer made his professional debut and played the full match in a scoreless draw against the New England Revolution on February 22.[7] On May 21, Meyer scored his first professional goal when he scored the winning goal in a 3–1 victory over Orlando City in the U.S. Open Cup.[8]
