Vahdat Yeganeh (Persian: وحدت یگانه) (born September 5, 1979) is an experimental theatre director, producer, writer, educator, and dramaturge. He grew up in Hamedan, Iran, and moved to the United States as a refugee in 2002. He is the founder and the artistic director of, the Boston Experimental Theatre Company[1] (BETC) in Boston, MA. Strongly inspired by Antonin Artaud's Theatre of Cruelty, Jerzy Grotowski's Poor Theatre, and Daryoush Shayegan's philosophy of Dialogue of Civilizations.

Yeganeh has published two papers about his workshops on the Dialogue of Civilizations program at Harvard University: Drama for[2] Dialogue of Civilizations[2] (2023), and Devised Drama as Social-Emotional Learning[3] (2024)

As part of his Dialogue of Civilization program at Boston Experimental Theatre, he produced and directed the first Iranian-American co-production (Creatures[4]-2013), followed by three new plays from SHAHNAMEH[5]: the Persian Book of Kings (2014, 2015, 2021, 2023), an adaptation of Sadegh Hedayat's masterpiece 'Blind Owl'[6] (2015), and Fish Trees[7] (2017). In summer 2020 and during the COVID-19 pandemic, Yeganeh produced and directed M(O)ther,[8] the first collaboration among artists from Iran, Iraq and U.S.

Yeganeh founded the Boston Experimental Theatre to study and practice Antonin Artaud's Theatre of Cruelty and Jerzy Grotowski's Poor Theatre in the rehearsal room and performances. In 2014, he founded the Dialogue of Civilizations program to create a space for international artists from diverse backgrounds to explore the dynamics of the interplay between their cultures. The Dialogue of Civilizations initiative aims to spark global understanding and empathy to foster a future of symbiotic cultural development and exchange.
