Request

Please accept the Bella The Wolf draft page. She is quite a famous troll, and yes, it does give attention to a troll, but it is an encyclopedia, so why not add her? Y3LL0WZ3R (talk) 12:26, 9 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! Unfortunately, I am no longer a new page reviewer. I hope you find the help you require! Thanks! 11WB (talk) 12:50, 9 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

XFDcloser

[edit]

Hi. I saw that you used XFDcloser to close the Divata AfD. I have installed it a couple of times to try out my hand at non-admin closes where appropriate, but have always shied away just in case I got to a point where I messed it all up! Is it in fact reasonably straightforward to use, and somewhat proof against possible idiocy on my part? Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 15:09, 13 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

XFDCloser makes the entire process take a few seconds in a pretty simple in-page menu! If you are often active at AfD, I would definitely recommend giving it a try! I did my first few AfD nominations without it, and those ones took about 5-10 minutes to set up (posting notices on author talk pages/listing on the relevant deletion discussion pages). XFDCloser gives the ability to do all of that in one menu, similar to adding in inline references when using the page editor (not the visual one though!). I would recommend installing it definitely! 11WB (talk) 15:14, 13 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
If I remember correctly actually, I think it is a tick-box in the gadgets panel in preferences. So all you need to do is tick it to turn it on! 11WB (talk) 15:16, 13 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

New page reviewer granted

[edit]

Hi 11wallisb, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the new page reviewer user right to your account. This means you now have access to the page curation tools and can start patrolling pages from the new pages feed. If you asked for this at requests for permissions, please check back there to see if your access is time-limited or if there are other comments.

This is a good time to re-acquaint yourself with the guidance at Wikipedia:New pages patrol. Before you get started, please take the time to:

You can find a list of other useful links and tools for patrollers at Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Resources. If you are ever unsure what to do, ask your fellow patrollers or just leave the page for someone else to review – you're not alone! signed, Rosguill talk 18:42, 13 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Follow up regarding Future Zone

[edit]

Hey, following up here as the requests page isn’t great for discussion. I think the issue with Future Zone (retailer) is that while it does cite The Guardian and the Telegraph, neither of those sources has WP:SIGCOV—they briefly mention that Future Zone was a property acquired by EB Games but otherwise don’t discuss it at all. Particularly for companies and businesses, this level of coverage is not sufficient for establishing notability. That having been said, given that the company has been defunct for over two decades and that the article was written by a diligent contributor, I don’t think that it’s a huge crisis to accept the article. But do be mindful of WP:ORGCRITE going forward, especially for companies/organizations that are not defunct. signed, Rosguill talk 19:14, 13 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for replying here! I've found that articles, drafts and stubs that are on companies are not my greatest area of knowledge. I can think of a few examples where I've missed the mark with those. The merge definitely makes sense. I suppose at the time I reviewed the article, I equated the coverage in the sources with the one paragraph in the stub and felt it was probably fine. I'll pay closer attention to this in future!
Do you have any feedback on my participation at AfD, AfC and the CSD log at all? 11WB (talk) 19:18, 13 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Forgot to ping @Rosguill! I understand you're extremely busy as an administrator, so it's totally fine if you're not able to provide any detailed feedback! Either way, thank you for letting me know about Future Zone and for the work you do on the project! 11WB (talk) 23:11, 13 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at your AfD mismatches, the main advice that stands out to me is that it looks like most of them are cases where you would have found coverage if you'd checked Google Scholar and/or Google Books for coverage. signed, Rosguill talk 00:19, 14 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I definitely had my eyes opened when I discovered Google Scholar a few weeks back here. It has proven to be an excellent resource, specifically for more obscure academic papers and studies. I used it for many of the references on my recent article GXSCC—which due to its obscurity, I'm 50/50 on whether it'll even be accepted as a standalone article later on (I expect it may be returned to draftspace or sent to AfD). Fortunately, the other articles I've written haven't been as borderline as this one!
I have already begun to check Google Books and Google Scholar more frequently! Your advice is very reassuring, thank you! 11WB (talk) 00:28, 14 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Zxcvbnm, I respect the AfD however to add personal comments about 'not believed' and to 'prove I am right' was unnecessary. You know that I don't edit in this way and I think you should either strike out those comments or remove them entirely. You are aware of WP:FOC. 11WB (talk) 10:43, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
After our interactions and the respect I've given you, I'm disappointed to say at the least. 11WB (talk) 10:44, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I can see how that might be construed as insulting so I have reworded the sentence to remove any implication that I am making it personal, even though it was not intended as such anyway. Hopefully that is enough to remedy the concerns here. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ () 18:00, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It's all good. I think I over reacted this morning. I think I need to remember that different editors have different ways of explaining things and I shouldn't have taken it personally.
If I may provide an explanation as to why I moved the article to mainspace. I considered all the feedback I had received and thought, well, I've put this together and drafts get deleted after 6 months anyway. Zxcvbmn thinks it isn't notable, Serge was on the fence, so I decided if it's going to end up being deleted anyway, it is most logical to move it, have it be submitted to AfD and then go from there. 11WB (talk) 18:05, 15 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Little Hardhats nomination for deletion

[edit]

Hello, I noticed that the article I created for the series Little Hardhats has been nominated for deletion. I don't understand why because this incident has been extensively covered by the media and many articles have been written linking to this incident. As well, on other wiki articles about the Mayday series, information from the show Mayday was used and the show was used as a citation at several points in the article so I don't know why you have to delete my article. Matt574 (talk) 19:26, 19 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there! Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia! Little Hardhats only uses sources that are primary currently. This means they are not independent of the subject. Upon doing a Google Search, I also found no usable sources outside of a fandom page, which also cannot be used as a source. For this reason, I've nominated the article for deletion. This process lasts for a minimum of 1 week, in which time other editors can give their opinions on whether the article should be kept, deleted or find an alternative. Thanks! 11WB (talk) 19:33, 19 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Ryan Vasquez (actor)

[edit]

Hello 11wallisb. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Ryan Vasquez (actor), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. Thank you. ThadeusOfNazereth(he/him)Talk to Me! 12:31, 23 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

I was looking at this before Thadeus declined it and was going to say the same. Specifically, "He is known for his roles in musical theatre on Broadway, including The Notebook and Hamilton" is a credible claim of significance. You are of course still welcome to take the page to AfD. Toadspike [Talk] 14:16, 23 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for notifying me of this. I've read the CSD page again and it says 'that does not indicate why its subject is important or significant'. My understanding of this is the individual cannot be notable in any way. So a random Tom from the street would qualify, but a person who has appeared in even just one Broadway show, would not qualify. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'll submit articles such as these to AfD from now on. Thanks! 11WB (talk) 15:43, 23 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Update!

[edit]

Hello! @11wallisb, The article Prestige Kingfisher Towers has been pending for review last 3 to 4 months. Could you please check it for any errors? 🌟 𝒯𝐻𝐸 𝐵𝒪𝒮𝒮! 03:54, 26 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Articles that are on the new pages feed are not reviewed in any specific order. From a cursory look however, it appears error free. It seems a few editors have made edits to the article, so I am sure it will be reviewed soon! Thanks! 11WB (talk) 04:23, 26 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
@11wallisb, I've now created some new articles and use less TOI sources as per your last suggestion you can check them and give your feedback if possible.🌟 𝒯𝐻𝐸 𝐵𝒪𝒮𝒮! 04:57, 26 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
You currently have 10 articles on the new pages feed. This is quite a few and many of these are BLPs, which I don't normally review. I will review the article you linked originally, and provide some general feedback for you. However, it should be noted, like I said over on your talk page a little while ago, I am not technically supposed to do this. 11WB (talk) 05:01, 26 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately, I am not going to be able to mark this as reviewed at this time. Some of the sources do not seem to exist, these being refs 1, 7-11 and 14. Due to this, I can't verify the information in the article that these sources correspond to. 11WB (talk) 05:09, 26 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the feedback I am working on it. The article Vishv Umiyadham is also similar and you can suggest improvements🌟 𝒯𝐻𝐸 𝐵𝒪𝒮𝒮! 05:13, 26 October 2025 (UTC)[reply]
