TimeForge (officially registered as Orcus Technologies) is an American workforce management software company based in Lubbock, Texas. It provides cloud-based tools for employee scheduling, time and attendance, and related labor-management workflows used by retailers and restaurants.[1][2]

History

[edit]

TimeForge was founded in 2004 by Anthony Presley and Erik van Gilder. TimeForge’s early product releases, centered on TimeForge Scheduling, supported online scheduling for restaurant and retail staff. In 2008–2010, the company worked with biometric vendor M2SYS to add fingerprint-based time and attendance in order to curb "buddy punching" and improve identity verification.[3][4] In 2009, TimeForge collaborated with Dinerware, providing Dinerware's point-of-sale platform users access to online labor-management tools through an integration layer.[1] As of 2025, TimeForge is also integrated with Toast and Square.[5]

In August 2016, TRUNO, a retail-technology integrator also based in Lubbock, acquired TimeForge.[6] By 2020, TimeForge had spun back out of TRUNO to refocus on labor management in restaurants and retail and was formed as Orcus Technologies.[7]

TimeForge expanded its presence in the independent grocery sector in 2024 by joining the IGA “Red Oval Family” partner program.[8][9] TimeForge also announced in 2024 that it would acquire SurveyConnect, a feedback and assessments platform.[10]

In 2024, TimeForge licensed the intellectual property rights to Lineup.ai.[11][12]

Products and services

[edit]

TimeForge offers services for labor scheduling, time and attendance tracking, staff communication, and workforce management. Integrations with restaurant point-of-sale systems such as Dinerware have been used to deliver scheduling and real-time notifications to managers and employees.[13] Biometric timekeeping was developed together with M2SYS and other platforms for identity verification at time clocks.[14]
