Comment: This draft massively inflates the number of "awards" the subject has by counting all *showings* of the film as separate "awards" with the term "Official Selection." If this short film is as admired as the draft suggests, there should be more than one sentence about its reception, and the draft as a whole should probably have more than three sentences total. The Last Observers is a multi-award winning short documentary created by Swedish filmmaker Maja K Mikkelsen and produced by Patagonia. It follows weather observers Karin Persson and Lennart Karlsson at Falsterbo Bird Observatory in their last year before their station is automated.
The film has been recognized for its soundscape, visuals and uplifting message of "enoughness", as well as the main characters' deep love for each other and their work, at film festivals around the world.[1][2]
