The Secretary-General of the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) serves as the chief executive officer of the organization, responsible for managing the AIPA Secretariat, implementing decisions from the General Assembly and committees, and coordinating parliamentary diplomacy among ASEAN member states. The position rotates alphabetically among member parliaments and is appointed by the AIPA President with the approval of the General Assembly. As of November 25, 2022, the Secretary-General is H.E. Siti Rozaimeriyanty Dato’ Haji Abdul Rahman from Brunei Darussalam, serving a three-year term until 2025. She plays a key role in strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation and liaising with ASEAN bodies and external partners.[1]
