Red Sift

Red Sift is a cybersecurity company that provides email, domain, web and public key infrastructure (PKI) security services.[1] The company was founded in 2015 by Rahul Powar and Randal Pinto.[2] It headquarters are in London, United Kingdom with additional offices in Spain and the United States.[3][4][5]

History

Red Sift was founded in 2015 in London by Rahul Powar and Randal Pinto. Powar and Pinto had previously worked together at Shazam and Appsmart (acquired by Reuters).[2] From 2016 the company was venture funded with additional funding rounds in 2019 and 2022.[6] To date, the company has raised $69.8 million with funding from Highland Europe, Sands Capital, MMC Ventures, In-Q-Tel, and others. [4]

In 2022, Red Sift acquired asset‑discovery startup Hardenize, founded by Ivan Ristić.[7]

Red Sift offers four cybersecurity SaaS products.

Red Sift OnDMARC

In 2016 Red Sift launched Red Sift OnDMARC. OnDMARC provides management of email authentication protocols including DMARC, DKIM, SPF, MTA-STS and BIMI as well as SubdoMailing detection.[4][8]

Red Sift Brand Trust

In 2022, Red Sift launched Brand Trust, originally launched as OnDOMAIN. Red Sift Brand Trust detects impersonating domains that can lead to lookalike attacks and typosquatting.[9]

Red Sift Certificates

In 2024, Red Sift launched Red Sift Certificates. It provides automated certificate discovery, monitoring, and management of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) assets.[10] In 2025, Let’s Encrypt (a major Certificate Authority) recommended Red Sift Certificates Lite for certificate monitoring after retiring its monitoring service.[11][12]

Red Sift ASM

In 2024, Red Sift launched Red Sift ASM to monitors domains, subdomains, IPs, hosts, and cloud environments as for attack surface management. [7]

Artificial Intelligence

In 2024, Red Sift launched Red Sift Radar, a large language model (LLM) that identifies security misconfigurations.[13] In 2025, the company launched the Red Sift Brand Trust AI Agent for review of lookalike domains to identify takedown candidates.[14]

Research

Red Sift has published research on the global adoption of DMARC including studies ahead of[15] and following[16]Google & Yahoo's introduction of email authentication requirements for bulk senders.
