Pezhman Ziaian (Seyed Mehdi Ziaian) is an Iranian photographer and visual artist, born in 1966 in Tehran, Iran. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Photography.
Biography
[edit]He regards photography as a legacy from his father and has now achieved a significant position in the art of photography. He completed his academic studies in photography at Berkeley Professional University in the United States and is currently recognized as a professional international photographer.[1] In issues 3 and 4 of the quarterly Land of Art magazine, an article titled "Shiraz, the Dream of the Land of Persia" featuring new photographs of various landscapes by this Shirazi artist was published, which has attracted the attention of admirers of this beautiful city.[2]
He has held numerous exhibitions showcasing his photographic works.
Honors
[edit]In 2018 (1397 in the Iranian calendar), at the Grand Shiraz Exhibition, this photographer was honored for his photographs taken of Shiraz.[3]
He received the Gold Medal of the Distinguished Manager Statue at the National Distinguished Manager Congress, among managers of ministries, agencies, organizations, and governmental and non-governmental institutions in the fields of industry and economy, held on July 11, 2018 (20 Tir 1397) at the IRIB International Conference Center. He was awarded the gold medal, the certificate of National Distinguished Manager, and official membership in the Foundation of Iran's Enduring Figures.[4]
He pioneered the first artistic aerial photography project in Iran using a helicopter in 2006 (1385) in Shiraz and Tehran.[5]
He has held solo exhibitions in most major cities of Iran as well as in several countries including Germany, France, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates.
