Draft:Ounass

  • Comment: It is very difficult to get an article like this published. Have a look at WP:SIRS and you will see the problem. Moreover the sources used here are promotional and/or self publicity via press releases. We need something three or four in-depth sources explaining the company in detail.
On the other hand I do see the promotional tone has been reduced, so that certainly helps, but we still need reliable sources. ChrysGalley (talk) 17:49, 16 October 2025 (UTC)

Ounass is an e-commerce platform specializing in luxury fashion, beauty, and lifestyle products, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The company was founded in December 2016 as a subsidiary of Al Tayer Group, operating under the group's retail division Al Tayer Insignia.

History

[edit]

Ounass was launched on December 15, 2016, by Al Tayer Group as part of the company's expansion into digital retail.[1] The platform was created to serve the growing demand for online luxury retail in the Middle East region.

Business model

[edit]

The platform operates as an online marketplace selling fashion, beauty, and lifestyle products from various international and regional brands. Services include standard and expedited delivery options across Gulf Cooperation Council countries, with same-day delivery available in select areas of Dubai. According to industry analysis by Vogue Business, Ounass positioned itself within the competitive Middle Eastern luxury e-commerce market by focusing on regional customer preferences and localized service offerings.[2]

Operations and expansion

[edit]

Ounass serves customers across the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Oman. The company expanded its presence in Qatar in 2022.[3] In January 2025, the company opened its first physical retail location, Ounass Maison, at the Mandarin Oriental Jumeira in Dubai, combining online and offline retail experiences.[4]

Corporate initiatives

[edit]

The company has implemented various business partnerships and promotional events. These have included collaborations with fashion brands such as a 2024 event with Dolce & Gabbana[5] and promotional campaigns with brands like SKIMS.[6] The company has also introduced environmental initiatives, including recyclable packaging materials and sustainable product categories. In 2024, Ounass added a vintage clothing section to support circular fashion practices.[7]
