A descendant of the historic Fusegbua royal lineage[1]of Ijebu and the Tunwase maternal house, Osibogun[2] is recognized for his contributions to cultural preservation, youth empowerment, and community development in Nigeria.[3]
Early life and education

He hails from a distinguished Ijebu royal family,[5] tracing his paternal ancestry to the Fusegbua ruling house through Oba Jadiara, and to Balogun Onafowokan (Otubu), the first war general of Ijebu. His maternal roots connect him to the Tunwase and Bobade royal houses, as well as the Wright family of Lagos and the Oyelewu family of Ikorodu.[6]
He attended United Missionary Primary School and I.C.C. Practicing School in Ibadan before proceeding to Comprehensive High School, Aiyetoro, and Olivet Baptist High School, Oyo. He later earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Ibadan.[7]

- Infrastructure: Construction of boreholes, installation of solar-powered street lights, and renovation of schools across Ijebu-Ode.
- Institutional Strengthening: Establishment of a permanent Egbe headquarters and cooperative society to support members financially.
- Cultural Preservation: Co-founding of the Ijebu National Museum of Arts and Artifacts, inaugurated to celebrate the 80th birthday of Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, the Awujale of Ijebu.[10]
He also founded the Yoruba Ko'ya Foundation, a non-profit focused on promoting leadership, unity, and sustainable development across Yorubaland. In addition, he developed the Peace Park in Ibadan, providing youth employment and environmental awareness programs.[11]
Public service and leadership
[edit]Osibogun's public engagement spans more than four decades, beginning with his community broadcasting initiatives during his NYSC service. He is known for advocating youth empowerment, education, and cultural preservation.
In 2003, he contested for the governorship of Ogun State under the Alliance for Democracy but later returned to private enterprise and civic leadership.
