Draft:Olympia Andritsou

  • Comment: The draft has two significant issues: (1) It doesn't meet Wikipedia notability requirements. The only piece of borderline significant coverage is both a press release and by an organisation that is related to the subject. Refer also WP:42. (2) The draft too closely paraphrases that press release and follows its structure almost exactly. Therefore, the article needs to be revised. The source also needs to be added as inline citations. • Comment: All of the inline citations are broken AI-generated nonsense. Wikishovel (talk) 12:52, 17 October 2025 (UTC)

Biography

[edit]

Andritsou was born in Giannitsa, Greece in 1998.

She began her professional career in 2005 with Megas Alexandros Giannitson, where she remained until 2017. During her twelve years with the club, she made numerous appearances in the A1 Women’s Handball League at a very young age and also competed in the EHF European Women's Cup.[1]

In the 2017–18 season, she joined GAS Kamaterou, finishing the A1 season with 72 goals in 13 appearances, and was named the league’s Second Best Playmaker.[2] The following season (2018–19) she played for Anagennisi Artas, scoring 39 goals in 8 matches. In 2019–20, she signed with Aris Nikaias, delivering impressive performances with 126 goals in 12 games, ranking as the second-highest scorer in the A1 League.

Andritsou returned to Anagennisi Artas for the 2020–21 season, scoring 59 goals in 6 matches before the season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Between 2021 and 2023, she played for OFNI, scoring 116 goals in 38 appearances.

In the 2023–24 season, she returned once again to Anagennisi Artas, recording 156 goals in 18 matches and finishing as the top scorer of the A1 Women’s Handball League.[3] During the first half of the 2024–25 season, she continued with Anagennisi Artas and got a transfer in the middle of the season to PAOK HC, finishing again as the league's top scorer with 129 goals in 19 games.[4]
