Nicola Rose is an American director and writer from New York City.

Goodbye, Petrushka, Rose's debut feature film as a director and writer, premiered at the 2022 Dances With Films festival in Los Angeles.[1] Her second feature film Magnetosphere screened in 2024 at ReelAbilities, Dances With Films, and the Hamilton Film Festival in Hamilton, Ontario. The film stars Colin Mochrie, Tara Strong, Steven He and Patrick McKenna, and was shot in Ontario, Canada.[2], and released in 2025[3]. The film was released in 2025, distributed by Freestyle Digital Media[3], and received a screening at San Diego Comic Con on the occasion of its release.[4]. Since Magnetosphere's release, Rose has been lauded for her approach to depicting neurodiversity and synesthesia onscreen.[5][6][7]
