Mitch and Murray Productions is a professional theatre company based in Vancouver, BC . Founded in 2012 by Artistic Director Aaron Craven, the company produces provocative, engaging, contemporary plays from the great playwrights of the global stage. They are also renowned for their "Acting Atypical" workshops[1][2] for the autistic community.
The company has staged Vancouver premieres from playwrights including Will Arbery,[3] Annie Baker, Mike Bartlett,[4] Duncan Macmillan[5] and David Mamet.[6] Mitch and Murray Productions has been nominated for seventeen Jessie Richardson Theatre Awards.[7] In 2023, the company staged the world premiere of Instantaneous Blue[8] by Aaron Craven. The play, a semi-autobiographical piece about a family's struggles with Alzheimer's disease, received widespread media coverage, including interviews on CBC Q with Tom Power[9] and The Vancouver Sun,[10] and played to sold-out houses at The Waterfront Theatre.
The company is also home to The Working Actors Gym,[11] a popular acting school located in downtown Vancouver.
