Submission declined on 9 August 2025 by RangersRus (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Jane Boon, Ph.D. (born August 29, 1967) was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada. After graduating from Lisgar Collegiate Institute, she obtained a bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering from General Motors Institute (now Kettering University) in Flint, Michigan, a master’s in technology & policy from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a doctorate in industrial engineering from Northeastern University, and a master’s in statistics from Fordham University. She is married to retired editor and media executive, Norman Pearlstine.[1].
Upon learning of the June, 2024 arrest of Frank Stronach[2], the billionaire Canadian executive and founder of auto-parts company Magna International, Boon published a first-person account in The Globe and Mail of how Stronach had sex with her when she was a teenaged co-op student sponsored by Magna to earn an engineering degree at GMI[3] She went on to publish opinion pieces about her experiences with Stronach in The Toronto Star[4], as well as AirMail.news[5]. Although Stronach has been charged on behalf of a total of 13 women with 18 charges of rape, forcible confinement and sexual assault over a 45-year period[6], Boon is the only named woman alleging Stronach sexually assaulted her[7]. As a consequence, she has been profiled extensively in prominent Canadian publications like The Globe and Mail[8], the CBC's documentary series The Fifth Estate[9], CTV News[10], The Toronto Star[11] and she is called upon frequently to comment on topics related to Frank Stronach's arrest[12] and the issues related to survivors of sexual assaults in Canada[13][14].
Writing
[edit]After working as an engineer for several years, Boon began publishing nonfiction articles in multiple U.S. publications, including Bloomberg Businessweek[15], the Los Angeles Times[16], Time.com[17], and The Wall Street Journal[18].
Her first novel, Edge Play, Judith Regan/ReganArts (2020), tells the story of an investment banker turned dominatrix during the financial crisis of 2008. It received the Pauline Reage Novel Award from the National Leather Association. Its stand-alone sequel, Bold Strokes, also from ReganArts, about an art gallery owner who works secretly as a dominatrix to keep her gallery afloat, was published in 2024 and was named an "Editor's Pick"[19] by Airmail.news.
Matthew Christopher Pietras
[edit]Boon’s essay in AirMail.news on July 12, 2025,[20], broke the story about Matthew Christopher Pietras, his multi-million dollar theft from Courtney Sale Ross and the family of George Soros, and his fraudulent donations to the Metropolitan Opera, the Frick Collection and other prominent cultural institutions[21]. She has written about the consequences faced by cultural and non-profit institutions when unscrupulous people use them to gain access to seek status among the wealthy[22].
