Go1 is an education technology company. Go1 offers an online platform used by HR and Learning and Development (L&D) teams to manage corporate training. The online platform aggregates training content from more than 250 providers and integrates into existing HR and learning management systems.

Go1 provides organizations worldwide with compliance training, professional development, and upskilling resources [1], with content accessible within workplace tools.

History

[edit]

Founding (2015)

[edit]

Go1 was founded by Andrew Barnes, Vu Tran, Chris Eigeland, and Chris Hood in 2015, after being accepted into the Y Combinator accelerator program.[2]

Early support and growth

[edit]

In 2016, the company received early-stage funding from Advance Queensland’s Ignite Ideas program, followed by additional state funding in 2018. [3] Two years later, they received a further $250,000 in funding to help market a personal training assistant platform.

Rapid expansion and valuation

[edit]

In early 2022, Go1 secured an additional funding round of over US$100 million[4]. The investment was led by existing backers including Larsen Ventures, Tiger Global’s Scott Shleifer and John Curtius, Steve Baxter’s TEN13, Microsoft’s M12 fund, SEEK, Y Combinator, AirTree Ventures, Blue Cloud Ventures, Madrona, Salesforce Ventures, and SoftBank Vision Fund 2, with new participation from Five Sigma.

This lifted Go1’s valuation to Unicorn. [5]

Products and services

[edit]

Learning platform and content aggregation

[edit]

Go1’s platform hosts training and professional development materials licensed from more than 250 providers. These include content providers from across the globe such as Traliant, Easy Llama, Pluralsight, Scrimba, Coursera, Skillsoft, Blinkist, and Harvard Manage Mentor.

The company reports that its content library contains over 80,000 courses in more than 40 languages, covering subjects such as workplace compliance, leadership, technology, and personal development.

Learning content is delivered in multiple formats, including video, audio, text, and interactive modules.

The platform also includes discovery and curation tools, usage analytics, and personalized recommendations to support learning and development activities and reporting.

Go1 is offered to businesses on a subscription model.

Integrations

[edit]

The Go1 platform is designed to integrate with a wide range of Learning Management Systems (LMS), Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), and other workplace learning tools. It has established partnerships with systems including Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Docebo, Adobe, ADP, Litmos and Zensai.

These integrations allow organizations to embed Go1’s aggregated content directly into their existing workflows, enabling admins to manage, assign and report on content in the systems they already use.

Learning services

[edit]

Go1 also offers strategic learning services designed to support organizations in achieving their learning and development (L&D) objectives. These services include custom curation, strategic planning, and workshops.

Global presence

[edit]

While headquartered in Brisbane, Australia, Go1 operates globally with a presence in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

By early 2025, Go1 supports more than 10,000 organizations, and 11 million learners - from fast-growing startups and regional mid-market firms, to some of the world's best-known brands.[6]
