Draft:Gasoline Grill

  • Comment: After a quick WP:BEFORE, I believe the company meets WP:NCORP. However, the way it is currently written is way too promotional. if it were a quick cleanup I would do so but it falls into the WP:TNT category so needs a complete rewrite. Please remove all of the "recognition" information. The "concept" section will need rewritten to give a brief overview of what they provide, but not written the way the company wants. Think of what a Wikipedia reader wants to see. For sourcing, please make sure to keep the following sources and incorporate them elsewhere such as the history section as they are the WP:THREE that show notability: 1, 2, and 3. Gasoline Grill is a Danish burger chain founded in 2016 by Klaus Wittrup. The first location opened in a former filling station in central Copenhagen.[1]

History

[edit]

Gasoline Grill opened in April 2016 at Landgreven 10 in Copenhagen. Wittrup, who had previously worked with Aarstiderne and Claus Meyer, introduced a menu centered on a small number of organic burgers. The restaurant quickly drew attention for operating from a repurposed gas station.[2]

In 2017, Bloomberg Pursuits included Gasoline Grill on its list of the 27 best burger restaurants in the world.[3] The chain has since expanded to additional sites in Copenhagen, including Tivoli Gardens, Carlsberg Byen, and Copenhagen Airport.[4]

Operations

[edit]

Gasoline Grill serves a limited menu of organic burgers. Each location prepares beef patties in-house daily, and the buns were developed specifically for the chain by Wittrup.[5] In 2022, the company received the Danish Gold Organic Cuisine Label (Det Økologiske Spisemærke).[6]

Reception

[edit]

Politiken gave the restaurant 5 out of 6 stars in 2017, describing it as “burgere uden bullshit” (“burgers without bullshit”).[7]

In 2020, Bloomberg listed Gasoline Grill among “The World’s Best Burgers as Picked by Stars of Gastronomy”.[8] In 2024, The Times referred to its smash burger served at a London pop-up as “the smashed burger that the in-crowd queue up for”.[9]

The chain has also been covered internationally by Financial Times, Vogue, and Bon Appétit.[10][11][12]
