Fedica is a social media management platform that provides scheduling, analytics, audience analysis and segmentation tools. Originally launched under the name Tweepsmap[1], the platform focuses on helping users interpret audience demographics and engagement data across various social networks.

History

[edit]

Fedica was founded by engineer and entrepreneur Samir Al-Battran, who began developing Tweepsmap in response to a need for tools that could analyze the geographic distribution of followers on X (formerly Twitter).[2] The platform initially gained attention for visualizing follower locations on a map interface.

As the platform expanded, it added features such as interest-based segmentation and post scheduling. In 2023, the service was rebranded as Fedica, reflecting its growth beyond Twitter to support additional platforms and broader analytics functionality.[3]

Features and Recognition

[edit]

Fedica includes tools for content publishing, hashtag tracking, and real-time analytics. It uses a combination of demographic and keyword analysis to segment audiences. A review by Social Media Examiner noted the platform’s ability to support performance tracking by offering granular follower insights.[4]

In early 2022, Tweepsmap was included in X’s official “Twitter Toolbox,” a developer program that highlighted selected third-party tools for analytics and engagement.[5] The program was later discontinued in December 2022.[6]

Affiliations and Integrations

[edit]

Fedica participated in the DMZ startup incubator at Toronto Metropolitan University, which supported early-stage growth through mentorship and resources.[7]

In 2017, Hootsuite integrated Tweepsmap into its app directory, enabling Hootsuite users to access analytics features within their dashboard.[8]

Use and Coverage

[edit]

Fedica has been used by political analysts and media organizations to assess social media activity during election campaigns. During the 2016 Indiana primary, its follower mapping tools were cited in coverage analyzing geographic support trends.[9]

According to business database PitchBook, Fedica serves agencies, businesses, and content creators.[10]

Fedica has also been referenced in discussions around decentralized social networks and federated publishing tools.[11] Publications aimed at independent creators have described its usefulness for scheduling and managing multi-platform content.[12]
