Background
[edit]Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu was born on December 30, 1988, in Khovd, Mongolia.
During his early years, Enkh-orgil was captivated by action heroes on television and often engaged in casual grappling matches with other kids in his neighborhood. This childhood fascination with fighting led him to experiment with various martial arts. He initially tried wrestling and gradually became interested in the ground game of Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
By the time he reached fifth grade, he had officially joined a local taekwondo club in his hometown. Inspired by Olympic champions, Enkh-orgil dreamed of becoming an Olympic gold medalist and earning a spot on the Mongolian National Taekwondo Team. Although his Olympic aspirations didn’t materialize, his exposure to multiple martial arts styles laid the foundation for his eventual transition to MMA.
He discovered mixed martial arts in 2009 and instantly fell in love with the sport. From that point on, he focused fully on MMA, competing in local and regional circuits where he built a reputation as a dominant fighter.
Personal life
[edit]Outside of the cage, Enkh-Orgil is an ethnic Torguud and works at Oyu Tolgoi mine, one of the world’s largest copper mines and a major industrial project in Mongolia.

He compiled a record of 4 wins and 2 losses in the organization and eventually became the 66 kg division champion. His success in the local circuit led to his participation in Road to One: Mongolia, a 10-episode reality competition series. Enkh-Orgil advanced to the final round, where he defeated Bat-Ochir Batsaikhan to win the tournament and secure a $100,000 contract with ONE Championship.
One championship

On May 19, 2023, he returned to action at ONE Friday Fights 17, defeating Rockie Bactol by knockout in the first round.
Later that year, he was matched up against highly regarded Filipino prospect and future title contender Jhanlo Mark Sangiao at ONE Fight Night 13: Allazov vs Grigorian. Enkh-Orgil secured an impressive victory via submission in the second round.
Following his early success, he faced then-ranked No. 4 bantamweight Artem Belakh at ONE Fight Night 18: Gasanov vs Oh Although he dominated most of the fight, Enkh-Orgil suffered his first One Championship career loss via knockout in the third round.
He rebounded from the setback on August 3, 2024, at ONE Fight Night 24: Brooks vs Balart, where he defeated Carlo Bumina-ang by submission in the third round.
Continuing his momentum, Enkh-Orgil faced Aaron Canarte on January 11, 2025, at ONE Fight Night 27: Tang vs. Abdullaev, winning via first-round submission.
As of his most recent fight on March 8, 2025, at ONE Fight Night 29: Rodrigues vs McManamon, Enkh-Orgil earned a unanimous decision victory over Jeremy Pacatiw. As of now, Enkh-Orgil is ranked No. 4 in the ONE Championship bantamweight division.
