Prof. Tit. Dr. Bruno Grego Santos PHD OP is Full Professor of Law by the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná,[1] and a Lecturer and Researcher at the Brasília Institute of Public Law [2] belonging to the Order of Preachers as a Dominican Tertiary. Grego Santos holds a PhD in State Law by the University of São Paulo [3].

Grego Santos is an expert in state law, technology law and canon law. He has experience in law and urban development programs [4], technology regulation and public procurement and contracts [5], and is acknowledge for his career in these fields [6].

Biography

Bruno Grego Santos started his career as a Brazilian Public Servant in 2003, in the Paraná Electric Utility Company, during his junior year as a undergraduate student at the Law Departments of the Paraná State University in Maringá [7], from which he received his LLB and JD Summa cum Laude degrees in 2007.

Begining his legal career, Grego Santos became a Public Solicitor in 2008 [1]. Completing his graduate studies, Grego Santos earned a PhD in State Law by the University of São Paulo's Faculty of Law (FDUSP), with a sandwich period in the Coimbra University's Law School (FDUC) and academic exchange at the University of Notre Dame Australia (UNDA) [8]. Grego Santos reached the rank of Full Professor of Law by the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR) [9].

Currently, Bruno Grego Santos is a private practice Lawyer, a Professor at the LLM and PhD Programs at the Brasilia Institute for Public Law (IDP) [2] and a governance and strategy consultant.

Bruno's work is of referential importance regarding the adoption of alternate dispute resolution by the Public Administration [10][11][12][13][14][15][16], including by the former Minister President of the Federal Brazilian Environmental Institute [17][18] and many thesis and dissertations [19][20][21][22][23][24][25].

During his international work as a UN Consultant, Grego Santos was in charge of high-level legal research on urban development [26] funded by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reviewing projects in six countries and four continents, and taking part at the Global Experts Meeting at the Oslo Centre for Interdisciplinary Environmental and Social Research (CIENS) [27]. Within UNHabitat, Grego Santos' work in urban law and project management has a role in the formation of UN parameters on environmental licensing of urban projects for the coming decades.[28]

Grego Santos won the VII Innovare Prize [6] – the main Brazilian prize for lawyers, awarded by a council of representatives from the Brazilian Supreme Court, the Federal Bar Association, the Superior Court of Justice, the National Justice Council and the Public Prosecutors Council [29] – for his works in government debureaucratization. In 2020, Grego Santos received the Public Accolade from the Parana State House of Representatives due to "brilliant and relevant legal services performed for our State" [30].
