Biswajeet Pattanayak (born 1964) is an Indian educator, author, and academic administrator. He is the founder and current President of ASBM University, located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.[1]. His academic work focuses primarily on human resource management and organizational behaviour.
During his tenure at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore, Pattanayak incorporated the Bollywood film Lagaan as a teaching case to explore themes in leadership and team dynamics as a pedagogical approach that was featured in national media reports[2]
He has authored several books on human resource development and organizational management, including:

- Creating Performing Organizations: International Perspectives for Indian Management
- Building Resilience: The Way Forward
As of 2025, Pattanayak is also a member of the Council of Management at the All India Management Association (AIMA)[5], a national apex body for management professionals in India.
