Draft:Art Events

Art Events is an Italian company founded in 2013 by Filippo Perissinotto, with offices in Venice (Palazzo Smith Mangilli Valmarana) and Milan (via Senato 14). It operates in the field of cultural event organization and in the management of historic and contemporary venues, with particular attention to the enhancement of artistic and architectural heritage.

History

The company was established in Venice with the aim of transforming historic spaces—such as villas, palaces, and gardens—into venues dedicated to cultural production. From the outset, Art Events has been active at the Venice Biennale, providing support to several national pavilions and collateral events, handling venue research, logistics, and operational management.

Activities

The main activities of Art Events include:

  • Location scouting and management, with a focus on historic buildings and architecturally significant sites;
  • Design and production of cultural events, including exhibitions, installations, and collective projects;
  • Curatorial and organizational consulting for institutions, foundations, and artists;
  • Communication and operational support for artistic and cultural events.

Venice Biennale

The Venice Biennale represents one of the company’s primary areas of activity. Each year, Art Events collaborates with national pavilions and independent collectives, managing venue selection, technical and organizational production, and coordination with institutions and curators. The company has contributed to the realization of numerous cultural projects within the Biennale, supporting the dialogue between contemporary art and historic Venetian spaces. Countries with which it has collaborated include Saudi Arabia, Armenia, Canada, Chile, China, Denmark, Germany, United Kingdom, Estonia, Kuwait, Montenegro, Thailand, Russia, Hungary, and Uzbekistan, among others.

Cultural Profile and Approach

The work of Art Events at the Biennale is characterized by the transformation of historic sites—palaces, gardens, and disused industrial areas—into temporary venues for exhibitions and installations. This model combines heritage valorization with cultural production, reinforcing the dialogue between historical spaces and contemporary artistic practices.

Art Events collaborates with cultural institutions, artists, and curators at both national and international level, supporting projects dedicated to the enhancement of historical heritage and the promotion of contemporary art. Alongside this cultural engagement, the company has also developed relationships with corporate and fashion sectors, integrating artistic events with private and commercial initiatives.

Beyond the Biennale, Art Events has taken part in events such as the Venice Glass Week, the Venice Film Festival, the Carnival of Venice, Milan Design Week, Milan Fashion Week, and Milan Beauty Week. It has also been involved in international events including Art Basel and Pitti Uomo, as well as projects connected to the 2026 Winter Olympics in Cortina.

Its partners include companies active in the corporate, fashion, and luxury sectors, such as Google, Amazon Music, Allianz, American Express, Assicurazioni Generali, Samsung, TikTok, Universal Music Italia, Chanel, Cartier, Bottega Veneta, Brunello Cucinelli, Hermès, Loro Piana and Versace.
