Andrea Buck is a South African-born Australian film producer, director, screenwriter, and success coach. She is best known for producing the feature films The Jammed (2007) and 10 Terrorists! (2012), and for her later career as a coach and educator in the creative industries. Her work spans three decades across Africa, Hollywood, and Australia, and she is the founder of the coaching business *Successful Creative*.
Film career
[edit]Buck worked internationally in film production, including on the family adventure feature Running Wild (1992), starring Brooke Shields and Martin Sheen.[1][2]
She came to prominence in Australia as the producer of The Jammed (2007), written and directed by Dee McLachlan. Initially planned as a direct-to-DVD release, the film’s strong reception led to a national cinema release after positive reviews and festival attention.[3][4]
Her subsequent production, 10 Terrorists! (2012), was directed by Dee McLachlan and satirised reality TV and terrorism tropes. The film was featured at the Indie Gems Film Festival, winning the Indie Gems Award.[5][6]

[edit]In 2019, Buck transitioned into professional coaching, launching her practice *Successful Creative*.[14] She has since worked as a success and wellbeing coach, with a focus on the creative industries, including film and television.
She has written for The Conversation on Australian filmmaking,[15] and presented a TEDx talk on resilience and creativity.[16]
