Liao, the company’s Vice President of Business Development, previously worked as Product Marketing Director at Qualcomm China and has held roles at MediaTek and Atheros Technologies.
In July 2019, Aiello launched the Aiello Voice Assistant [6][7](AVA), its first product for the hospitality industry, which was deployed in hotels in Taiwan. In October 2024, Aiello secured an additional US$5 million[26] funding round, led by Cool Japan Fund and CDIB Cross Border Innovation Fund II LP, with new participation from E.Sun Venture Capital and B Current Mstar Impact Investment, and continued backing from JAFCO Asia and Wistron Corporation.
Other investors documented in company announcements include Zylux Acoustic Corporation, Chunghwa PCHome Fund No.1[27] (a joint venture fund by Chunghwa Telecom Group and PChome Online), and ColoplNext, the corporate venture arm of Japanese gaming company Colopl.

Voice Technology

The system is designed to interpret multiple intentions within a single conversational strand and can generate sequential action items. Each query is processed against a knowledge graph database that is trained for specific client contexts, including business, brand, and industry information. This approach supports natural language intent recognition and domain-specific responses.

Aiello uses ASR to convert human speech into text. When paired with company-developed hardware, microphone arrays, and edge computing software, the system incorporates background noise reduction, echo cancellation, and acoustic feature extraction.

When input is ambiguous, the system is designed to prompt clarifying questions to improve intent recognition and reduce error.
Speech Synthesis (Text-to-Speech, TTS)
