Comment: This topic will likely fail to meet WP:GNG. Unless there is some lasting impact as a result of these events, there is no notability needed for an article. In it's current form, I would nominate this article for deletion and fully expect it to be deleted. Imzadi 1979 → 23:05, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
On October 21, 2025, on 110 Freeway in Los Angeles County, California, a police chase occured around 11 P.M. A male suspect was on the run before being fatally hit by a passing car from another lane.[1]
Cause
[edit]An unidentified male suspect was on the run from LAPD of being suspected for stealing a white van. The suspect later stopped on the 110 Freeway near Highland Park before the crash.[2]
Crash
[edit]The suspect jumped over a center divider between the two lanes, later rushing over before being fatally struck by a driver. The police chase was being broadcasted on live television by SkyKCAL, though the crash was not shown due to being paused before hand. Mere seconds after the suspect was hit, NBC news anchors were heard gasping in devastation after the crash. Multiple television stations reported that the suspected was pronounced dead at the scene.[1]
Aftermath
[edit]LAPD later closed the 110 Freeway immediately after the crash occured. The CHP later went to investigating the crash that had occured. Later, The Los Angeles County Department later identified the suspect to be Erick Puente.[3]
