Zafar Iqbal Marwat is a serving two-star general in the Pakistan Army, currently serving as the Director General of Armoured Corps at Arms Branch at General Headquarters, Rawalpindi.
Military career
[edit]Marwat was commissioned in 11 Cavalry through 83 PMA Long Course in 1993.
He was promoted to the rank of Major General from Brigadier in 2019.[1]
He is currently serving as Director General Armoured corps at arms branch at General Headquarters of Pakistan Army in Rawalpindi.
In July 2022, he also served as General Officer Commanding during Pak-Saudi Joint Mechanized Training.[2]
He has been awarded with Hilal-i-Imtiaz (Crescent of Excellence) award for his service in the army from the President of Pakistan, Arif Alvi.[3]
