CSS checker for DABONE violations
[edit]I've written a simple, entirely CSS-based checker to flag potential violations of MOS:DABONE. It's at User:Tamzin/dabone-violation-checker.css. It highlights all links in a DAB entry past the first, and also puts a warning at the top of the page.
Example (Possible MOS:DABONE violations)Example may refer to:
You can add this to your common.css with @import url('//en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?action=raw&title=User:Tamzin/dabone-violation-checker.css&ctype=text/css'); or you can copy-paste the code and modify as you please. (Note: MW may falsely claim syntax errors.) Suggestions for improvement welcome on the .css page's talk.
Caveat utilitor: This will ignore redlinks, interwiki links, and links in sub-entries, but complicated syntax might trip it up. It might also flag syntax that's problematic for unrelated reasons, e.g. external links in DAB entries. Also, do keep in mind that DABONE is but a guideline, and there are occasionally times where two bluelinks on one line may make sense; or the page might be a SIA mis-tagged as a DAB. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (they|xe|🤷) 10:35, 9 October 2025 (UTC)

Swastika (disambiguation) and 卍 film
[edit]I'm not sure the best way of dealing with this. There is a 1964 Japanese film whose title is the symbol 卍. In Japanese, the name of the symbol is "Manji"; the article on the film is at Manji (film).
In English, of course, the name of the symbol is "Swastika", and to the extent the film is referred to in English, the film is generally referred to as "Swastika" (for example, on IMDB).
People looking for the English Wikipedia page on the film will naturally search on "Swastika" (I did), so it should be on Swastika (disambiguation); but I'm uncertain of the right usage. My stab is here. is there a better approach?
To complicate things just a tad, there is also a British documentary film, Swastika (film), unrelated to the Manji film. TJRC (talk) 19:56, 20 October 2025 (UTC)
Possible DAB page needed
[edit]We have the following articles that could probable do with a dab page (or a more robust set of hatnotes):
In case anyone is interested in putting something together. AlsoPonyo (talk) 19:13, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
- I don't think we need a dab page, per the spirit of WP:TWOOTHER. I've added hatnotes to Stephen H and Stephen E, although they're not strictly necessary. Station1 (talk) 13:17, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
