Vulcan Elements

Vulcan Elements is a startup rare earth magnet manufacturer located in the American state of North Carolina.

History

Vulcan Elements was founded in 2023 by John Maslin, formerly of the United States Navy, with the intention of competing with rare earth magnet manufacturers based in China.[1]

In 2025 the company raised $65 million at a $250 million total valuation.[2][3] It had also secured orders from the US military.[4]

Supply chain

In 2025 Vulcan Elements signed a supply agreement with ReElement Technologies in Indiana.[5][6]

Facilities

The company's main production facility is located in the Research Triangle Park in North Carolina.[7]
