Recent edits
[edit]Your recently have been adjusting some references on articles including:
- 1st Composite Mounted Brigade
- 1st Australian Tunnelling Company
- 1st Army Corps (Russian Empire) plus maybe some others.
For instance, on this following article of
- 1st Dismounted Brigade...your edit gave it 4 Harv warnings & 2 Harv errors. I have adjusted the Sfn cites, the article is now no longer in the Category:Harv and Sfn no-target errors. Perhaps my adjustment is not to your liking, there is probably another way to adjust the various complete references & Sfn cites so there aren't any resulting Harv/sfn cite issues.
You have been adding "orig-year"/"1st Pub." to the complete/target references without also adjusting the Sfn cites. This action is breaking the wiki-code in the various Sfn cites and engendering Harv warnings & Harv errors and placing these various articles in Category:Harv and Sfn no-target errors. All I can suggest is when I use Preview, it has saved me from many issues or errors and also that User:Trappist the monk/HarvErrors has been a wonderful addition to my common.js page. - Shearonink (talk) 20:58, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
- Ooooo! I’m unfamiliar with Harv errors and this is extremely informative! I love adding to my common.js and absolutely appreciate you bringing this to my attention. 🤦♂️ I’ll double back to the rest of my recent ISBN date edits and check I haven’t been worsening articles instead of improving them. Doh! Thanks again. ZsinjTalk 21:00, 15 September 2025 (UTC)
- No worries. Lol I could tell you were fixing issues that needed to be fixed. Original publication dates + different editions are important and often get overlooked in referencing. - Shearonink (talk) 21:05, 15 September 2025 (UTC)

Administrators' newsletter – October 2025
[edit]News and updates for administrators from the past month (September 2025).

- After a motion, arbitration enforcement page protections no longer need to be logged in the AELOG. A bot now automatically posts protections at WP:AELOG/P. To facilitate this bot, protection summaries must include a link to the relevant CT page (e.g.
[[WP:CT/BLP]]
), and you will receive talk page reminders if you forget to specify the contentious topic but otherwise indicate it is an AE action.
