Information icon Hi YochanonBenMat! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Thank you for informing me, I didn't know that. Will take into account in the future.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Alanus de Rupe, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Blessed. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Veneration of Mar Isaac

[edit]

Hey! I noticed that, in 2022, you edited the article about Mar Isaac of Seleucia-Ctesiphon to add that he is venerated by various apostolic churches: the Church of the East, Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Oriental Orthodoxy. Could you provide a source for that? I can't seem to find record of his canonization or veneration by Roman Catholics, Eastern Orthodox, or Oriental Orthodox. Thanks! LiefOfDel (talk) 17:34, 24 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Hmmmm. You seem to be right! In-fact I can't seem to find much about his veneration in any Church. So for the moment I have removed the information about veneration given, until a reputable source can be added.
Thanks for the notice! YochanonBenMat (talk) 14:58, 25 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]

John Henry Newman: edit

[edit]

Hello YochanonBenMat, please add content only with reliable, published sources; do not make changes without them. Read and follow Verifiability and policies.Gvihar📝 15:09, 31 July 2025 (UTC)[reply]

It appears to me that the source cited for the claim (vaticannews.va) itself says that Cardinal Newman is not already a Doctor of the Church: "that will soon lead to the English cardinal John Henry Newman being proclaimed a Doctor of the Church. ... Pope Leo XIV has “confirmed the affirmative opinion of the Plenary Session of Cardinals and Bishops, Members of the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints, regarding the title of Doctor of the Universal Church, which will soon be conferred on Saint John Henry Newman.”
"which will soon," "that will soon." is what I am referring to. Correct me if I am wrong. The claim also seems to contradict the top of the article which says "the Holy See announced that he would soon be proclaimed a Doctor of the Church (Doctor of the Universal Church)." YochanonBenMat
It appears that the cited source (vaticannews.va) states that Cardinal Newman “will soon be proclaimed a Doctor of the Church,” not that he already has the title. Under WP:V and WP:RS, please adjust the article to read that he “was announced to be soon proclaimed a Doctor of the Church,” and provide a reliable source confirming the actual date of proclamation.
