- I appreciate that and wasn't aware. How would I be able to show a picture of his face then? Yesyesmrcool (talk) 16:22, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- I'd suggest having a read of Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline to see if you're able to upload that particular file or similar directly to Wikipedia. You can't however upload non-free images to commons like you did. Images uploaded to Commons must be either in the public domain or released under a free license. Introduction to contentious topics
[edit]You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Additionally, you must be logged in, have 500 edits, and have an account age of 30 days, and you are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on any page within this topic.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

[edit] Please remember to assume good faith when dealing with other editors, which you did not do on Talk:Zohran Mamdani. Thank you. Doug Weller talk 08:25, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
- How exactly did I do that? I was trying to be fair and I was being ganged up by like 5 people defending him when he clearly made racial remarks. Yesyesmrcool (talk) 16:15, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
- That's the problem.. He didn't make racist remarks. You must know that the wealthier neighborhoods in NYC are predominantly white, surely? Doug Weller talk 16:54, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
- I know that they are whiter but it's also rude to bring race into it when he could have just said wealthier neighborhoods or named specific neighborhood. Furthermore, I don't think I broke good faith as I was seriously trying to help and I don't see how a warning is needed instead of just shutting the topic and not adding it. Yesyesmrcool (talk) 17:05, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
- Just make sure you don’t call him racist. And our opinions on what he should have said are irrelevant and don’t belong. Doug Weller talk 17:19, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
- I don't believe I called him racist nor is that my intent all im saying is he made it a racial thing but I wouldn't say there is any proof that he is racist. Well it's clear your opinions were on there as the guy I was debating with multiple times talked about white supremacy and the lies of GOP and Fox news. I'm sorry if I did anything wrong but I was just trying to let everyone get all sides of the story and having the warning removed would be nice. Yesyesmrcool (talk) 17:34, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
- I didn't see anyone object to adding text about Mamdani's statement in the article, including the phrase "richer and whiter neighborhoods," as long as (a) it's sourced to one or more RSs, and (b) the WP text accurately captures what he was saying about property taxes. As for the warning, you're free to remove this entire section if you want (see Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines § User talk pages), though it will remain in the page's edit history. FactOrOpinion (talk) 20:38, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
- The other guy was clearly objecting and calling it lies. What is the point of removing the warning if it stays and I believe it's unfair. Yesyesmrcool (talk) 20:43, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
- I didn't see him objecting to text that satisfies the two conditions I mentioned above. Regardless, I'm not going to debate it on your talk page.
- In general, any content that has been added to any page on the WP website will be accessible through the page's edit history. (There are rare exceptions, but this isn't one of them.) You may feel that it's unfair, but that's just how the WP website works. FactOrOpinion (talk) 21:07, 5 July 2025 (UTC)
- I'm debating the fact that the warning is unfair and there has to be a way to appeal it. Yesyesmrcool (talk) 21:11, 5 July 2025 (UTC)

Abu Dujana al-Jubouri moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Abu Dujana al-Jubouri. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. JBchrch talk 20:28, 12 July 2025 (UTC)
- Well I made the article because he is at this time a high ranking ISIS commander but there isn't many sources about him currently so it looks like it might have to sit for awhile Yesyesmrcool (talk) 21:02, 12 July 2025 (UTC)
