Not sure if you're still watching this, but I added two more plots just now. Vegard (talk) 19:37, 15 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, didn't see this in time, but I appreciate the notification nevertheless! Vegard (talk) 17:07, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Ross William Ulbricht has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. James E. Bacon (rancher) moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to James E. Bacon (rancher). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit the draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Haj (talk) 10:47, 6 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. Is there a certain number of references I should aim for? Or what are the criteria, specifically? Bacon was the originator of the Bacon avocado, he was president of the California avocado society for a while and his house was turned into a museum. The article on notability states that "Notability is a property of a subject and not of a Wikipedia article".

WP:THREE is the usual minimum target. The problem I noticed with the sources you started with (on the article page) were: (ref 1) FamilySearch is not a reliable source, ref 2 and 3 do not show anything in depth. There's not enough on the page (yet) that establishes more than his existence. WP:NBIO gives a more detailed overview of what may be necessary to have an article created.
As for the redirects being deleted, that's normal procedure when they no longer link to an existing article. Those can be recreated when the draft is improved and moved back to the main article space. Haj (talk) 14:09, 6 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I've added references to LA Times, Fullerton Observer, and California State University Fullerton articles, and the Buena Park Historical Society website. Can I un-draft it now, please? Vegard (talk) 14:40, 6 September 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Dude, I created redirects for "Bacon avocado" and stuff to point to this article, now another person or bot has gone ahead and deleted it. This is hostile when I'm trying to establish a base of articles on a subject which is poorly covered on Wikipedia and turns me off from trying to contribute anything.
