Season to season updates
[edit]Please pay attention to your updates on this section. Note that Tercera Federación is not the same as Tercera División (that's why they have different articles) and sums must reflect what the table says. Two examples: at CD Izarra, you added the sum incorrectly to Tercera División, when it was on Tercera Federación, and at CD Subiza, you forgot to add the sum at all.
Please also take a look at WP:FOOTY/Spain when editing to check out the color scheme. Thank you, BRDude70 (talk) 20:33, 6 May 2025 (UTC)
- BrazilianDude70 thanks for pointing that out to me. All well noted. Valenciano (talk) 21:40, 6 May 2025 (UTC)

[edit]Is it possible for you to add “Alex & Stewart Reece” without the red words they are both active and working together as djs and producers thanks 2A00:23C6:F89:CB01:3060:A6FD:A630:51D2 (talk) 15:31, 14 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hello, Alex Reece is already there. Stewart Reece doesn't seem notable. Valenciano (talk) 08:19, 15 May 2025 (UTC)
- Alex and Stewart Reece are brothers they are back working together under the alias “Alex & Stewart Reece”

Page moves
[edit]Are you planning to add a dash to the compound adjective of every swimming event article? Because there are thousands, and if not, then there will be inconsistencies in all the titles with is very annoying. Is there some move consensus discussion that I am unaware of? If not, I think consensus needs to be found before changing the name of thousands of articles. IAWW (talk) 22:07, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
- Note you've also broken the nav template IAWW (talk) 22:10, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
- It is a wonderful world, I was planning to add the dash, yes. (It's 01:40 here so I plan to turn in for the night and continue that tomorrow.) No move consensus is needed to fix misspelt or grammatically incorrect article titles, especially when we have a manual of style (MOS:SUSPENDED) which they clearly don't comply with. The "very annoying" is fixed by correcting those. What is mildly annoying is that this should have been picked up earlier, particularly in the GA reviews. Incidentally, I haven't broken the Nav template. What has temporarily affected it is this edit by another user. That will be sorted early tomorrow when I update all the rest of those. Valenciano (talk) 22:38, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
- I feel like consensus should be found to move ~4000 articles even though it is just a minor change. I'm also surprised it wasn't picked up earlier. I just assumed it was fine as it is such an established practice on wiki. IAWW (talk) 23:19, 9 July 2025 (UTC)
- But the articles are all at incorrect titles, because, in part, you created them that way. I'm not saying that to criticise you, but to advise you, especially since you say on your page "Whether it is a grammatical mistake I made, something I wrote, or one of my opinions, I cannot stress enough that I welcome the feedback." This is a clear grammatical mistake in multiple article titles and it needs fixed. That there are lots with the same mistake is a reason to fix the mistake, not to turn a blind eye and ignore the Manual of Style. Yes, there will be "inconsistencies", inconsistencies as in while that change is in process some articles will still be incorrectly titled until they're moved, but that's why you should muck in and help with that process to fix your mistake, not oppose it. There isn't a single good reason not to move them, even the Olympics page titles them correctly. Valenciano (talk) 06:52, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- If you look at the Nav template, all is now fine. Valenciano (talk) 07:09, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Valenciano, I not opposing this at all, and I didn't create them. I very much support this if it's the right thing to do. I suppose I'm just being a bit more cautious, because it seemed unlikely it hasn't been fixed before. Good luck moving all the pages, though it seems like something that could be automated IAWW (talk) 07:16, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- I know, and kudos on getting so many up to GA. I'll have a look and see if there's an automated way to speed it along. Valenciano (talk) 07:18, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- If there isn't, I'm happy to help do it manually. There are the Olympic ones, World Championships, continental championships and some transcontinental championships I think IAWW (talk) 07:25, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- Searching this query shows there are 600+ articles which have this mistake just for the 100 freestyle event IAWW (talk) 07:29, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- @It is a wonderful world, see Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Olympics#100_metre_vs_100-metre_vs_100_metres_vs_100m. Valenciano (talk) 12:20, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks, hopefully a few people will weigh in IAWW (talk) 12:48, 10 July 2025 (UTC)
- It is a wonderful world Let's wait until Monday at least to give more people time to comment there. I noticed your comment about SEO, is there any title you think would be better for that? Valenciano (talk) 08:41, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- Sounds like a good plan. I personally think formatting the titles like "Men's 100-metre freestyle at the #### Summer Olympics" is much better than what we currently have for several reasons. However I think it's a separate issue to what we're discussing here and should be dealt with separately. IAWW (talk) 08:45, 11 July 2025 (UTC)
- Ready to do this? Have you figured out any ways to automate the page moves? I can fix all the incorrect instances inside the articles using WP:JWB. IAWW (talk) 20:50, 15 July 2025 (UTC)
- I am, but the usual laptop is in to be fixed so I'm just doing essentials these days on the old laptop, as soon as I get the main one back I'll have a look, likely tomorrow. Valenciano (talk) 07:08, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
- Okay great IAWW (talk) 08:22, 16 July 2025 (UTC)
